Overview

Designer Notes: This centre is one part child care and one part community housing complex. Parents often spend time at the child care centre with their children. Our team had a very small space to work with, and we needed to design around a large Manitoba Maple. This required a novel approach because we needed to create a space for all ages.

Educator Notes: The sand area features a curriculum cabinet that houses all of the sand gear and loose parts; children have the ability to access materials when needed. There is a water stump that allows small amounts of water to be available on demand. This is perfect for making sand sculptures and mud pies.
