Overview

We were presented with the opportunity to design and build the natural playground area when the City of Greeley was seeking options for better stormwater management resulting in a full park rebuild. The Woodbriar Park Renovation Project improved an existing 7-acre neighbourhood community park to include flood control storage and natural play spaces. The park features these new enhancements:

  • Natural creek channel daylit from previously piped flow
  • Nature playground utilizing on-site park materials
  • Interactive creek “diversion plaza” including a Parshall flume, slide gate, diversion runnels, and interpretive artwork
  • Sustainable landscape conversion to reduce irrigation consumption and increase biodiversity within the park
